Definately don't feck around with selective colouring. They're well executed, capture a reflective mood and sometimes less is more. I'd be really pleased to come up with those.

C&C Wise - mainly comes down to hair: In the first one, the left side of the hairline seems to draw my eye away from hers - maybe more (apparent?) sharpness. Don't know how you'd cure this, but it's very minor.
In the second, I'd like to see her right eye.

Nahh she has a sense of humour, so say what you were going to Mark. I won't mind and I doubt she will. We have had some very weird conversations in the past.

These have only been sharpened, theres no USM on these, something I'll have a play with tomorrow. I did loose some of the deffinition in the hair when they were converted to b+w.

Hopefully in the not to distant future there will be more pics both setup and live.

Thinking about it, #2 has more potential.

The pose and framing are really good, just need eyes to camera and a few more expressions - moody, smiling, grin whatever - but we need to see her face :) Really good images though :D

Was heading along the lines of a suitably lad-ish comment of appreciation - nothing lost by behaving!

I think the sharpened version takes something away from the image, if anything it's a little too harsh. I'm with hoppy's earlier comments completely, get some eyes into number 2 and it's spot on.
To explain my earlier comment, I think there was plenty of detail in the hair - I'd like to be more drawn to the eyes; but kept coming back to the line between the hair and the face, maybe just get the hairline on the her right back a bit. minor details in any case!

Si, that's an awkward chord she's playing. 'E' would help the composition loads :)

I do have some with eyes in, but she didn't like them so can't post them. Hopefully I'll get some posed shots this weekend to put up.

Compromise!

Just one eye then. Her left eye, the right eye covered by hair. She doesn't have to be looking to camera - just a bit more boat race please. It's hardly her worst feature ;)

But that ugly left hand looks like she's giving us the finger. Get it up near the head! (I'll leave others to make the :norty: comments on that :D )

Yeah, it was an over cast but muggy day. IIRC the light was coming from my right, not quite over my shoulder. Bit difficult having lights etc in the middle of a field, and not a flash in sight (I hate flash)!!
