Don't really see this mentioned much but thought i'd ask, what sort of MPG are you getting if you have a 600 (R6, 600RR etc).

Just trying to work out yearly running costs ;)

Early 50's on my 1997 CBR6, but I've only passed my test at the start of the year and its my first bike. So I'm being good :D

No idea on what MPG I'm getting... I do manage to get about 130miles from a full tank on my Gixer 600, this drops to about 90-100miles if I'm giving it some.....

45-55 is a good call.

I run my CBR6 daily between Edinburgh and Glasgow and get nearer the 55 mark. Regardless of whether i'm taking it easy or giving it a bit of stick (within reason) the difference in the daily fill up is usually pennies.

2001 R6 with 17 litre tank, fuel low light comes on at 120 miles. Reserve is 3.5 litres. So I am getting 120 miles on 13.5 litres equates to

13.5 liter = 2.96 uk gallons

120 / 2.96 = 40.54 mpg

Thats hammering it, ive had 50 mpg on an odd occasion. Of course I am relying on how full I fill tank and also how accurate fuel warning light is. I should really carry a jerry can and run the bike till it is dry and get a more accurate reading, if only to know how far I can get after fuel warning light appears!!!

Thanks for all the info. Sounds about right, this months TWO magazine has a fireblade @ 36 mpg and an Aprilia RSV-R @ 41mpg average for the test which i presume they weren't cruising about for :D . So looks like i can easily get the weekly work run done on a single tank.
