Went on wed, 'cos on practice day they let you take your camera on the course.

Nice relaxed atmosphere too, easy access to players for photos and autographs (if that floats your boat)

All taken with D70 and Sigma 50-500. Couldn't really get any wide shots, I had more glass, but there was no way I was changing lenses in that dusty environment!

Nice pics there Geezer. I'm not a fan of the sport so don't recognize any of the players but I do like the bunker shot and the one above it -- love the way you've thrown the background out of focus. Wonky feet technique in the first two eh? :) Surprised that there's only one minute between the tee-offs I always thought they took a lot longer than that.

Thanks. It was good day. Practice day is the only day you are allowed to take cameras on course, and it's all very relaxed so you get good access.

Also, walking around with a huge lens on your camera attached to a monopod makes people get out of your way to take pics! It's very odd, they all automatically think you are press or something, even though the kosher guys are all inside the ropes with yellow bibs on.
