Sorry for delay in reply - I only use this at work!!!

They check (and reset if necessary) the toe and camber to the correct settings. Beforehand mine was pulling to the left really badly.

Its probably best to phone them up and get a quote - as mine needed the geometry check plus over an hours resetting. They also checked an oil leak, replaced missing brackets off sumpguard, put the proper washer on the oil sump etc etc and coded a new key. All in just over 170 squid.

Plus I got free coffee! and friendly advice

Yep, but had a shock today. I was doing a fair speed (not saying how much though) on the motorway and put my foot down to overtake someone. As the car was accelerating it lost power for a split second, a kind of high speed judder (didn't hear a bang or anything) and the engine warning light came on. I then drove the rest of the way keeping the revs below 3000 and later on the warning light then went off. It's still off, so I really don't know what went on. The only thing that's changed is the boost (as Pete changed it to the correct values). I think I heard him say there was some knock detected by the ECU too. Got me a bit worried now, but at least the lights off at the moment so whatever it was it has corrected itself for the time being. I guess once it's been in next week and had the remap, that should solve any mapping issues.

How much of a difference do you think I will notice from the new exhaust and Ecutek remap?

It was in 5th Gear going up-hill (so engine under a lot of strain) and when I planted it, I got the kick-back and the engine light came on.

So it's definatly pinking..... Oh well, better keep it light until it get's remapped.

Its likely that you hit the boost cut, this can sometimes happen when putting the car under load in a higher gear.
You should notice quite a big difference after the remap, I did.:norty:
Who is mapping it ? Pete or Richard Bulmer ?

Turn-in definitely improved - I just love the roundabout at Chapel bypass now :norty:

Not in Buxton much during the week - work in Tameside.

Do you drive a sliver classic with private reg ending ...LTR ?

Pete's doing it for me AFAIK. I thnk he enjoys this type of work.

You're right about the boost cut, I had a full tank so not fuel cut. the question is if I will have the same prob after a remap? Not good for the engine :-( . Will I have to install a manual boost controller then? Seems strange to have to do this if the boost levels are set right.? Pete adjusted the boost a week or so ago as it was under boosting.

When the car has been mapped it should be o.k, Pete knows what he is doing, the map will optimize the boost fuelling and ignition levels, you wont need a manual boost controller, Pete will be able to map around the problem.
