As some of you know I bought the D200 a few weeks ago now (fantastic camera) and i got a good deal on a 24-85 lens at the same time.
But whilst shooting a job in the studio yesterday for quite a major client I noticed lens fringing on the edges of the products I was photographing. This was at 100% in photoshop the file sizes weren't to large either, well within the limits of the camera. I Reshot a couple of them with the 80-200 f2.8 and they were fine.
Spoken to my supplier and I might be changing the lens next week for the 17-55 f2.8 lens
Anyone used one yet if so, be interested to hear any comments.
Cheers Warren

My boss picked one up a couple of days ago, and loves it - prefers it to the 17-35 f2.8 he's used to using. Can't comment on the quality as we haven't really shot anything to really show it, but he loves the versitility of the focal length.
Although being a Canon man myself I suspect its pretty poor ;) :D

Excellent lens.

A bit heavey for messing about with.

Better with a tripod.
