Have during the last two months finally gone DSLR. So apart from saying 'should have bought an Olympus' (I went for a dl2) what is the general consensus as to the cheapest and most efficient approach to Sensor cleaning ??

Pay a professional to do it.

Plenty of threads on here about sensor cleaning so you might want to try a search and then sit down for a while reading through. Different folks have had different experiences. I use the Copperhill method which works well for me...one swab, one pec-pad, two/three drops of eclipse fluid, two swipes and it's done.
