SlimJ_2005 09 May 2006, 22:43 While in Australia, visited Peter Lik's gallery, some of his work is awesome! http://www.peterlik.com/flash/default.asp darlodge 10 May 2006, 00:23 John Hyde's work is ::eek2: :eek2: Darren KiwiGTI 10 May 2006, 00:30 Worth pointing out that John Hyde's favourite equipment is a Canon 1Ds Mark II and a 300mm 2.8 lens. So we should all be able to take similar photos ;) STi-Frenchie 10 May 2006, 07:13 John Hyde's images are very, very classy. I can't help get the feeling that maybe one or two have been photoshopped....like the one with the iceberg and the lightning? Fantastic stuff though and those eagles, wow! CharlieWhiskey 10 May 2006, 09:52 Anyone else thinking of doing Alaska next year?:wonder: Fantastic pictures! Hoppy 10 May 2006, 21:03 John Hyde's images are very, very classy. I can't help get the feeling that maybe one or two have been photoshopped.... Well said, Alwyn ;) I wondered about the moon above the snow-capped peaks. But some of those images, tweaked or not, are just, well, I don't know - lost for words. Something about nature that gets to me, awesome, timeless. But I have to disagree with his definition of the perfect picture - one that makes you want to take another one. Some of his just make me want to give up completely :( :D And he lives in Alaska, which is cheating. Bit like living near the Alps... Richard. |
