OK I know its a long shot but does anyone know?
Does the canvas feed directly into the printer or is it attached to a bedding sheet first then fed through.

Didn't Sticky Stuff offer to have the winner of one of the competitions print done onto canvas? I'll bet he could tell you how its done.

In the old days, the emulsion was stripped from the print (leaving the paper behind) and bonded onto canvas, usually with a thin, matt laminate covering. It could be more than a bit fragile.

Now, the whole print is heat sealed beneath a plastic film, then bonded onto good quality artist's canvas, to create the weave. Artist's stretchers are usually used to finish off the print, but I've seen them mounted on board, which gives a more subtle impression of weave. Most prints are quite resilient and can be wiped with a damp cloth.

Without the gear, it's not really the kind of thing done in the average home darkroom/studio. Most labs will do it now, but only when they produce the print for mounting.

Cheers

I guess you could use some of the fake canvas paper, and run it through an inkjet. Mind, not nice last time I saw a print.
