Following my camera disaster my insurance are upgrading me to a 30D for just £50 excess!!!!!!!!

How cool is that! :)

Only thing is I won't have a clue how to use it in Genva but I'm sure gonna have some fun learning!!

I'll have to pay Adam, more. The accident was supposed to get you to convert to the dark side, cos they come with screen protectors as standard!!! :p :D

Fantastic news Cath! :D

I'm still getting to grips with my 20D so I can appreciate you are feeling a bit lost ;)

Excellent news! As for learning how to use it, just stick it in manual and we'll figure the rest out :) You'll also have some reading material for the plane too, it's a win-win situation :thumb:

Sweet, the 30D is a great camera, now have one myself!

Took me a while to work out how to get to exposure compensation, wasn't obvious, but a quick read of the manual sorted that out.

You may need to clean your sensor, mine was flithy straight out the box but with a few blows using my new Giotto Rocket Blower it's cleaned up nicely!

It was with Nationwide house insurance would you believe!

Thanks for the sensor tip... I wont attempt anything like that myself!
Im sure someone will have a look for me in Geneva :)

Result Cath :)

Instruction books. Yes. I really must read mine  but it's hardly a leisure task - more like going back to school

Cath, if you were comfortable with your 350D, the 30D is extremely similar. You'll be laffin in no time ;)

See you soon,

Richard.
