:(I'm gutted.i'm an Arsenal fan and have no care for Rooney unless he is in an England shirt and now that Portugese blue's git, may well have dumped him out. I know it's a bit strong but if Rooney is out i hope that blues git is hounded out of the premiership. After all it's not his first act of spitefull, dirty cowardly play is it:mad:   Ooops realised in my now calm state i got the wrong chelsea player.

For the first time ever, I'm going to agree with Pete.

I can take Chelsea winning the championship with their win over us, but if you take Rooney out of the World Cup equation, I doubt we'll even progress through the group stages. Pair that with Owen being unhappy with his recovery, and we're doomed. I'm usually optimistic about these things, but I have to be realistic - Crouch and Bent starting? We don't have a hope!

The dream is in tatters for another couple of years. :( :(

Thinking about it, today has been one of the darkest days, football wise, I've experienced.

What with the Rooney injury, news about Owen's (failing?) recovery, United being stuffed by Chelsea, and them winning the championship with that win.

:(!

The beautiful game can be a bitter one at times.

You never know, maybe it is a blessing in disguise.

Rooney will get lots of rest between now and the world cup, and be fresh and ready to go for the first game, or keep him back untill the knockout stage.
He is a tough little guy.

Ok, that might be a load of rubbish, but lets keep thinking on the positive side!!!!

Sound like you are making excuses for England already, when we all know in reality they wouldn't win with Rooney.

They should start taking viagra now, because it's the only way they are going to get past a semi.

In reality, we had the best squad since '66, so we would have had a huge chance of bringing the trophy back.

If we were relying on Rooney to win the World Cup, does that not mean we were on dodgy ground right from the beginning? One man doesn't make a team.

Mind, obviously we're shagged without Michael Owen. ;)

Carrick in the holding roll and play Gerrard behind the front man. He's got goals in him and is far better when freed up.

The world cup is over:( No Rooney, Owen is a doubt, Ledley King looks to be out, Ashley cole is unfit, and worst of all...... Gary Neville will be playing:(

thanks Chelsea? :cuckoo: Rooney nearly broke Terry's leg from what i saw of the highlights so what goes round comes around.

Rooney is class don't doubt that but one man does not make a team, give Harewood or Bent a game
