Hi ALL
Anybody have any experiance of Zigviews!!! Good or Bad.
Interested in one for the studio, to allow to get the camera on the floor for obscure angles and being able to see what ya shootin.
Seem like a good idea, but are they reliable, and do they do what they say on the tin?
Not interested in the Zigview R with motion sensor.
Regards
Paul:)

Do a search on PH, couple of guys on there have and like it.
IIRC, dave406 has the normal and getcarter has the R.

Pussy, get on the floor like a real man. :)
I've tried one, thought it was OK. Too dim to use outdoors in bright light but OK in the studio. Problem is the display is OK for framing and kind of OK for seeing which focus point has focus, but that is about it.
You cannot see if the shot is really in focus, and you certainly cannot spot stuff like labels hanging out of clothing, or a couple of stray hairs on the face that you can if you look through the viewfinder proper.
Basically I tried one for the same reasons but found it lacking. :(
If you want that kind of functionallity, buy a medium format with waist level finder, then get serious neck ache. :) :)
Cheers

I bought one last week Paul. You are welcome to try it, I'll bring it down to the open day :thumb:
Not really used it in anger yet, just test shots in the garden etc. Quality of pic isn't brilliant and it can take a bit of setting up to screen height/width to match the veiwfinder & what angle you are using it. But it does at least let you see what's 'in' the veiwfinder when you can't get your eye to it :) It was those flower pics in the last comp that convinced me to get one ;)
I just wish they would go one step further and seperate the 'video camera' from the LCD screen to make it a 'remote veiwfinder':wonder: Or maybe I should just make one and corner the market? ;) Anyone have any links for a high res pinhole video camera?:wonder:
