Having just received my info pack from Lisa (thankyou), I note there are newbie sessions and experienced sessions initially.

My question is this.

Whilst I have now done 8 track days I have never done Donnington.
Do I need to go out in the newbie session to familiarise myself with the circuit or are 8 track days completed enough to allow me to go out in the experienced session and familiarise myself with the circuit accordingly ?

Thankyou in anticipation.

It is totally up to you.

I would guess that you ought to consider yourself "experienced" in terms of what to do on a track day, overtaking & etiquette etc.

The first 2 sessions are one for newbies/inexperienced to drive on track with only a couple of other "faster" cars that are out to check they're doing it right, whilst the other is for more experienced people to get a few sighting laps in, without nervous newbies getting it all wrong in front of you or trying to follow you & getting it wrong.

The idea is that for at the beginning, everyone takes it at a pace suitable to them, so that accidents/mistakes are less likely to happen.

Make the decision on where you would feel comfortable, as its your day & you want to enjoy it.

BTW - you've done more track days than I have  :( ;)

:)

(Jealous that I won't be there :( )
