Part of East Sussex Scoob's weekend away the - Charity Treasure-hunt Afternoon out
A fun day out for all the Family (or just the big kids :lol1: ), the route starts at the Fighting Cocks public house in Fordingbridge and guides the competitors around some of the famous sights of the New Forest and Hampshire Countryside by way of tulip diagrams (don’t worry – there’s a page explaining them, simple really!). There will be questions to answer and items to find along the way as well as enjoying some of the more spectacular scenery in Hampshire.
It's a superb route taking in pretty much all the roads the Hampshire Subaru lot recommended to me so you’re guaranteed some fast and twisty fun amongst the question answering and scenery spotting. Toilets and ice cream brakes are marked - so it's not all hard work! ;) :D
The route will end at the Fighting Cocks public house again for a few drinks (soft one's for the drivers! - unless you're staying at Sandy Balls!) and prize giving. They'll be a social meal afterwards with the others participating in the treasure hunt if you'd like to join us please let us have numbers to warn the pub in advance. We anticipate eating at about 6:30.
Donations are asked for from each vehicle entering - all proceeds in aid of the memory of one of the most successful British World Rally Champions - Richard Burns and his memorial fund going to Cancer Research.
Open to all vehicles, not just Scoobs – there’s a Land Rover route as well (not the same roads as the Scoobs) if it’s more suitable for the type of vehicle you have.
Start location: The Fighting Cocks Pub, Godshill, Fordingbridge, SP6 2LL
Start Time: Meet at 2:00, Vehicles leaving from 2:30pm onwards
Approximate Hunt Time: about 2 ½ - 3 hours.
