Not a racing incident IMHO, he punted Matt Neal off!

"Rob Collard has been excluded from the results of yesterday’s third Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship round at Brands Hatch for his part in an incident that caused reigning Champion Matt Neal to crash out of the race"

i dunno, fair enough matt neil took a hell of a bang when he hit the wall and thank fook he's fine and dandy, but to be honest when your that close you have no chance of braking if car in front does, so you have to ask a few questions
a) did neil brake to early, and from what other cars were doing, yes he did
b) could rob collard have dodged him? no chance of that
c) should have collard been expecting him to brake? prob but if neil braked to early then he would expect to have more time to allow him to back off

personally think it was just one of those racing things, see what final out come is

I have to agree with you Tidgy, I thought it was a racing incident too.

Didnt Matt Neal have a little tap at Collard when he went past tho?, possibly why people are thinking that Collard punted Neal off??

I was a bad accident but I dont think it was done with malice, imo Neal did break too early and given how close the racing was and the speeds they were doing the outcome of that incident was pretty unavoidable.

yeah they had had a bump or should i say neil hit bumped collard to get past (y i love touring cars :D), if anything he hit him hared than when collard tapped him, only difference was how he got hit. if neil hadn't crashed don't think there would have been anysort of mention of it let alone banning etc
