Store tools with the Tyres Northampton boys, they are there all day
SUL is available on site (is 99p/L though  )
Leave any valuables you don't want on your person with a Trustworthy looking speccy ;) (if you can find one LOL)
Convoy ?? Keep an eye on this forum

jimi 21 October 2001, 15:15 Thanks doc
I will be bringing gerry cans full of shell optimax so will it be safe to leave them somewhere?
Who do i trust with my valuables?
Tyres northamption seem to be really great.
Look forward to seeing you all.
Peace
JIM
Rosco 21 October 2001, 19:12 Another thing to remember if it is your first track day, DO NOT let your fuel tank go below 1/3rd or you will get fuel starvation round corners!
Not good for the engine!
I'm also coming from the South but I will probably go up the day before. Will see nearer the time.

Bitten Hero 22 October 2001, 09:02 Another thing - don't leave your car running in the pits while you nip inside the garage to get something... there was an RB5 nicked at Donno a couple of years back like that...
Just be careful - don't assume everyone is there to just watch the cars...
Richard
chuckster 22 October 2001, 09:18 Unless you are going to be running on slicks it isn't really worth bringing petrol as Dono services are just 8 minutes away...fill up at lunch in needs be (hmmm think I managed 89 miles out of a full tank at Dono once..LOL )
I had some things stolen at one of the SIDC days, they wern't with Tyres Northampton but just a reminder that you will get d*cks wherever you go, so do be careful.
Have a blast!
Chuck
kryten 22 October 2001, 10:48 But Dono services is BP so Optimax won't be available (which is what he said he would be taking).
Anyone know where the nearest Shell Optimax garage is?
jimi 22 October 2001, 12:50 Thanks for the advice guys i do understand what it is that you are saying; We are a target for the low life,we must all look after each other, trust no one unless you know them.
I will have to bring optimax because i do not know where the nearist shell garage is.
I look forward to seeing you all there i will get on the m1 at jct 6 so shall we meet some where?
You can see a pic of my motor under members gallery, grey corner.

Bitten Hero 22 October 2001, 13:54 Nearest Optimax garage is at Shardlow services on the A50, according to Shell's website (http://www.shellgeostar.com) :

You'll probably get better MPG than me.....:D:D
Managed to retrieve the car from the other side of the floods at 8pm last night - got through the busted road surface/silt/stones & rocks/tree debris where it had a river running along it yesterday at 6am and got to work ok:D:D
Got the monday morning blues? - neh, always pretend it's Tuesday:):)
