Guys, I didn't do a very accurate job last time I polished the car and have ended up with white bits on the plastics etc.
What's best for getting it off?
Thanks.

View Full Version : Removing polish from bumpers and plastics- help please RRH 15 March 2006, 13:50 Guys, I didn't do a very accurate job last time I polished the car and have ended up with white bits on the plastics etc. What's best for getting it off? Thanks. frayz 15 March 2006, 15:27 Use a warm damp cloth carefully on the plastic surfaces then when dry apply some Autoglym bumpercare with a small foam applicator. That should help :D Polished Bliss 15 March 2006, 16:11 If that doesn't work, Poorboy's Trim Restorer or P21S Total Auto Wash will cut through the white marks no problem and leave the trims cleans and ready for a dressing. :) T97@Fratton 16 March 2006, 19:00 Not one for the pureists among us but I use Kiwi black leather instant wax shine shoe polish (the one with a sponge applicater) on the trim. It hides any polish residues and does a reasonable job. However, have a damp cloth available to immediately remove it from any paint work you inadvertantly get it on as it's difficult to remove when dry....
