Struggled a bit today. Got a few shots that were quite nice though. Good days rallying - weather was great. Big crowds - which meant a few traffic problems, but I guess it is good to see the rally being so well supported.

Damn....I am not used to taking pics of rally cars.

I didn't think to use a fast shutter speed to freeze the roost coming from the back of the car.

Nice pics.

Simon, it was loverly. Blue sky no clouds and lots of sun. a bit of a breeze, but the trees sheltered you from it so it was loverly.

Hi Chris

It looks like the low sun was giving you some grief, try dialing in some negative exposure compensation next time Alternatively, shift yourself round so the sun's more in your favour, tricky at rallies I know!

I like the scoob one, second to last, shame about the tape though...

What were the catering facilities like?

Thanks chaps

Bob - correct . It was a lovely day, but the sun was causing one or two problems! I tried all sorts of things. Mucked around with exposures, speeds, ISO ratings - probably changed too much in the end.

Right about the tape too! There were so many people spectating on some of the stages that it was difficult to get a decent position. A little playing around with Photoshop might solve it, but I'm not that expert yet!

Didn't sample the catering - stuck to my sarnies! It looked up to the usual rally standards

The sun was a real problem wasn't it; I was using fill flash and a polariser and still had terrible glare off the sides of the cars on the last stage.

I guess the only real fix is to take your life in your hands and try and blag a media pass!

Yep - but they were not giving them away easily!

That's one of the reasons I managed to get a few good pics on Friday night.

If nothing else it saved you parking fees

Parking did seem a bit expensive this year. But fun never the less.

Not if you parked in the farmer's field for £5 that was right next door to 'official' car park C

Saw that but had already paid £20.00 for the parking ticket and didn't want to pay out anymore.
