Default MY06 wrx new spoiler !!!!

Well finally decided to get a new spoiler for my06 wrx, just thought the rear of the car was lacking something. Decided to go for the Zerosports air dam and very pleased with the results, what do you think ????

I'm not a fan, it looks like it melted half way through the moulding process and then set a bit wonky in the middle.
Each to their own though, anything is better than that sorry excuse for a spoiler that is OEM on the WRX.

i like that, didnt think that i would cos im a fan of the STi/WRC style of spoiler, but the rear of your car seems a bit more curvy than my 03 WRX so it carries it off really really well

I don't like it.

Also just what development and racing have zero sports done? Apart from online racing or scalextric!

This what they say about the design of this spoiler, suppose it does make sense:

The large wings we have seen up until now have often contributed to too much rear traction resulting in a front-rear traction imbalance. With the Rear Air Dam Wing we succeeded in rectifying the roof air-flow, directing the necessary down-force through the wing centre and the wing sides.

Zero sports stuff tends to be all curves, i like it but mybe consider a zero sports front splitter to balance it out. IMO

No, that just looks nasty IMHO, Sorry !
Just remembered what that spoiler reminds me of, the one from the Toyota celica, off to try and find a pic !

Personally dont think the 06 shape wrx can carry off all the silly side bits and extra vents etc, yet the 06 STI looks OK - and I'm not a fan of big spoilers

Richard

The wheels are the stock ones on an MY06. I swapped mine for some ROH Shift R (similar to the Prodrive style) for a bargain price.

Would love to stick a rear spoiler on mine, but can't decide whether I want to keep the standard look or not.

With the spoiler above, it suits it in a way, but I can't get used to it.

I like it mate, looks a lot better than the other non-STi high level spoilers that a lot of people seem to opt for nowadays!

I think it looks excellent the STi spoiler is too common ...nearly every impreza from the 2001 is fitted with one its better to be different.

Cheers guys and girls for all the comments, i knew i would get a mixed response. Didnt fancy going down the sti spoiler route, especially didnt want a replica spoiler. For me the original spoiler just wasnt up to the job, the my06 impreza has a cracking front end and the rear is so tame so i had to get a spoiler to even it out. by the way baz69birds whats wrong with mondeos, and looking at your motor all i can say is pot and kettle comes too mind:

Maybe you should check out this clip of ZERO/SPORTS racing if you dont think they have done any racing or development.

Also if you visit www.zerosports.co.jp you may get an idea how wrong you are?

Devo ... can I ask how much you paid for the ZeroSports Spoiler? Am now interested in getting one for my 06 WRX.

Also did they spray it for you or was it shipped in primer??

PM me if you'd rather discuss it outside the thread.

Cheers matey
