StiX 16 February 2006, 16:05 I have been in touch with Rich at Powerstation enquiring how much it would be for a Tek 3 remap, and it is £550+vat.
I enquired on a group buy price and received an email yesterday, and for only 5 people they will reduce the price to £499+vat saving each person £60.
So if you could post any interest here - we only need 5, for the money saved you could get your geometry set-up properly!

dynamix 16 February 2006, 23:58 what timescales is this on?
StiX 17 February 2006, 00:38 what timescales is this on?
Rich from Powerstation hasn't mentioned any, just need 5 for the discount.
Swtmerce can't do until the end of March, so at least until then.
I have just emailed Rich to check if this is ok, but can't see a problem.
Ian.
dynamix 17 February 2006, 08:42 sounds about right timescale wise for me - early april would be best for me as i want to get some miles on the car first.
<deep breath>put me on the list then</deep breath>

dynamix 17 February 2006, 09:59 just need to find an excuse for getting over there and spending the money without wifey finding out :D
dynamix 17 February 2006, 13:00 do they take paypal :)
StiX 17 February 2006, 13:14 do they take paypal :)
Um - dunno? Want me to ask after he replies to my last enquiry?
I am probably going to get the remap done within a few weeks, after I get 5 names so I can let everyone know the score then:)
dynamix 17 February 2006, 13:15 nah - its okay :)

What does it Map to BHP wise on an 03 wrx ?
PowerStation site prices start @ £1600 so if its just a remap isn't it wasted without the appropriate exhaust and filter changes ?:wonder:
dynamix 17 February 2006, 16:34 the £1600 quoted on their includes changing the exhaust, sports cat and filter.
power wise it is hard to say what they can do with it but one thing for sure is that it will be better than the current. some of the others may be able to cite examples but i would guess at 20-25bhp and similar torque, but i could be very wrong :)

Shows 270bhp for a WRX on their website.
MY01+ Subaru Impreza UK 2.0 WRX
EcuTek Re-Map
3" Milltek Exhaust
K&N Filter
approx. 270bhp - £1600 + VAT

Cheers Robocop, but, question still stands this is £550 +vat not £1600 +vat, so if its just a remap isn't it wasted without the appropriate exhaust and filter changes ?:wonder: 270bhp?
luke m 17 February 2006, 19:54 hi,
is this the remap suitable for a my00 classic?
if so, i may be in! also, i have downpipe and centre already that need fitting, could i get a quote on all this work combined? will they know about this offer if i call myself?
cheers

Not exactly true, they would re-map with existing and get you about 20-25 bhp extra, remember though each time you add or change anything it will need the map adjusting, first map includes for licence therafter it is far less about £100 each time, with full decat exaust & filter expect around 280, better to wait and get decat & map at same time. this is on a 05 WRX

Cheers fella, can they map it inconspicuously so dealers can't tell ?
Only I have PPP 03 WRX in warranty but doubt the 265 ps, so am intererested in a remap using the Prodrive ECU uprated intercooler hose and partial exhaust decat aleady on the car. If I could get 20-25 on top of the 265 It would be money well spent! Bet you are pleased with 311.8!:thumb:
Scooby Dan 18 February 2006, 00:19 Does this include a 3 port boost solenoid like the groupbuy Powerstation did before xmas ? Once I have sorted my headers and a couple of bits and bobs I will be looking for a remap.
Was getting it done elsewhere but this price is very tempting:norty:
StiX 18 February 2006, 01:48 Whooah peeps. I go out for one night and get a flurry of posts!
There are no 'extras' here - no included fuel pump or 3-port solenoid.
This is for a standard Ecutek Tek 3 re-map by one of the best places in the country.
The kind which normally costs 550+vat.
50 quid off for a group buy, that's all no miracles.
Lets not take the piss here - you get what you pay for so behave.
You want more you pay for it - don't f**k this up.
blueburble 18 February 2006, 01:48 Not sure if when the dealer hooked up it would show you had a re-map, i think some how it would, besides i wouldn't want them fookin about with after, looks like waiting till end of warranty

Sorry for asking, I had no intention of f***ing anything up;)

Sorry Scooby Dan! Wrote that last night after too many beers :)
Luke M:
I have a MY00 classic, have full de-cat and JR filter. Am hoping for 270-280bhp, so about 40-50bhp for the 568 quid which ain't bad :)
Rich at Powerstation knows about this Group Buy, I have been in touch with him a couple of times. If you want to mention the Group Buy and my name (Ian Jeffery - don't think he knows my user name), then he will know what you are talking about.

Just got back from a rolling road day, a Powerstation mapped STI 8 previously ppp'd now fitted with a 3 inch Milltek exhaust and 3 port solenoid did 350 bhp and 343 lb/ft of torque so these guys definately get good results:D

the results speak for themselves plus the number of people on here that travel miles to go to powerstation cant all be wrong.
bring it on indeed... I would be very happy with 320bhp from mine and over the moon with anything more than that cos the max figure doesnt tell the whole story. That is only useful for bragging rights.
The real deal is the performance gains mid range and low down that force you back into your drivers seat with the biggest smile of your life :D

2 more peeps - sign up now :)
luke m 18 February 2006, 20:42 i'll give them a call monday and if the price is favourable then i'm in.

Ok - it might be cheaper however to get a local garage to swap the exhaust sections for you? Mine didn't charge me much to do mine today.
