Default 8x18, how large a tyre can I go ?

Hi,

I've got a MY02 STi and running with 8x18 Turini's.

On the back I have F1 225/40's, and recently changed the fronts to Proxy T1-S 225/40.

I'm not happy with the Toyo's so am going to put F1's back on.

Question is this.

Can I put a bigger width tyre on the rears (235? or 245?) and then put the 225 F1's onto the front.

Or should I wait and change all 4 to the bigger width (if at all possible).

also, where is the best place for 2 new tyres to go, front or back ?

Many thanks.

Mark.

As Richie has said keep the same size tyres all round

Best for your car is the 225/40/18 !!
