First of all thanks to Simon for organising, a good time was had by all, and a good turn out to boot.

Some pics of those present:

Where did everyone go?

And finally the best car there

I'm not sure whose the light blue one belonged to, but I meant to ask you where you got your plate done - looked well smart. I'd appreciate some details if poss?

Look forward to the next one.

Matt

Great pics Matt thanks.

Some folks were asking where I got my tints done. A mobile Co. called Securfix (07970193498)did them. They used to work for Pentagon but are much cheaper. Based in Reading I think, but were happy to come out and do mine. They've done alot on Scoobynet. £200 for 4 windows and the back. They did the back in one piece which is much better than some lesser co.s who do the rear in pieces.

I had 32% on the front and 22% on the rears and back which is about right I think. you can have what you like though - they bring samples for you to choose from. Top blokes, top materials, top job.

thanks for organising the meet simon - we'll have to do another.

Thanks to all those who came along (14 cars in total).
Sorry we were a bit spread out in the pub but i was'nt expecting such a good turnout so did'nt book a table I now know better for next time.
Most seemed on for another meet, so will organise one before Christmas and maybe this time do something else at the same time - Carting, Skid pan, Paintball, Bowling???? any suggestions or preferences?
See you soon.

simon

We could do the indoor karting at Wroughton (Swindon). New LPG Karts (fast!) resurfaced track, timing etc. recommended. going again later this month.

Matt, thanks for the comments re the tints. it's good to have something someone else hasn't got - hence why I didn't park next to Simon!!! I'm sure he must print money not circuit boards.

Thanks Simon for organising meet. We were able to make it at last minute due to change of plan - maybe some of the other Bristol crowd will make it up next time - shame it clashed with the Exmoor run.

Matt - Nice pics. The number plates on the car on the right in pic 2 were done by GT Grafix www.gtgrafix.co.uk I had to send them the subaru logo to ghost in the background like this -

Now that they've got it and done whatever they need to do to it it should be easy to get further plates. So basically they are a ghosted plate with the 3D font and the EU badge. Just had a quick look at their site and they say they can't use manufacturers badges anymore due to a visit by trading standards - don't think this logo should be a problem but I'd be interested to know if it was as I've got a cracked plate and need to order a new one soon.

Only downside is cost ~£35/pair.

Cheers

Mark

Cheers Mark, I've e-mailed them about the ghosting, I'll let you know what they say.
