For the third year running, we have been invited to attend a multi-club car show at the Grampian Transport Museum in Alford, some 20 miles west of Aberdeen on the A944.

The day starts off at about 10:30am, and goes on until around 5pm, when the various prizes are awarded, and the raffles drawn.

The SIDC will have an exclusive display area for our cars (we had more than 20 cars last year!), and a prize awarded for the best looking car on the day.

As well as the static displays, there is a small sprint track ( )which will be in use throughout the day. The cost to use the track (one car at a time) was a mere £5 last year, and again there are prizes for the best car(s) on the track.

There are various trade stalls selling a wide range of motoring related goods, as well as food outlets.

A great day out for the family, and we hope to see as many of you there as possible.

There is also a social event on the Saturday evening, with beers and a curry (or whatever people wish).

DOH, got plans to go to AVA on Saturday and Invergordon (for an offroading meet) on Sunday.

I'll by at Alford on Sunday if the other thing falls through, Saturday night could be hit or miss

Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but some day........we might actually manage to go to the same event.

I drive a white sti type R , running a scoobysport d/p and blitz back box.

I had a dangerous rumour on the phone tonight, back up from Glasgow after a number of months dossing...errrrr..studying threatening to bring his kit car back to Alford on Sunday...
