View Full Version : Discharging Batteries

Following last weeks prob with lose wires which I fixed, I have a new one.

The battery appears to be discharging itself ?

If jump started it will run, it will also still start 90 mins after I turn it off, if I leave the battery disconnected - an unconnected battery can not dischagre itself. I am trying a longer period at the moment.

The problem arose after a trip to the jet wash, so I am assuming I dislogded a wire and that is the problem.

Would a loose wire touching something cause the battery to discharge ? No fuses are blowing.

It could ofcourse just be that the battery has given up, but that seems too much like coincidence.

What do you think ?

Cheers

I will have a play tonight.

Last night I disconnected the battery, and although covered in a thick frost this morning, when connected back up it started fired first time !!
