quite simply he couldn't drive any more as the car lost all of its oil and seized the engine!!

he'll be out again for the Swedish event shortly................

Petter Solberg may indeed be a tit; but not because of this. The tyres were a team decision according to David Lapworth.....

Yes the team being the driver (2 votes) and co-driver (1 vote) based on the recce crew advice, which may be up to 4 hours out of date. Particularly important in Monte Carlo, where the East side of the valleys tends to be warm, clear, and dry (in the sun), and the opposite on the West side of the valley

I must say that it is a real buzz when you drive a scoob and see them on the TV going for it.
Funny, you see that never happened when I was an MG driver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry, but the team knew the temp was dropping below freezing for the major part of stage 1 (all the snow and ice, hint, hint ) and considering solberg is within the top 3 drivers in the world, it was a very costly error to make on the first stage of the year, being that he is the one who has to drive the dam thing = what a TIT.

ps. hope nails the f***s next time out

According to David Lapworth, team principal, the tyre decision was made soley on the weather forecast made available to Prodrive. The temperature was a critical two degrees lower than predicted (-2c). If we follow the points method outlined earlier, I believe that the Prodrive team principal gets two votes and the armchair know-it-alls only the one vote.....

they gambled on it being warmer with the slicks but it didnt happen, what happened to the programme anyway, where are Jon Desborough, robbie head and angus, all we had was some bint saying.........even Loeb even Loeb, not very exciting programme considering we have waited 10 weeks for the season to start!

Perhaps it was a cost issue.

£1000 a corner for these rally tyres. They only last 30 miles too.

No wonder they went for a harder compound LOL
