What are the differences between the models from 1998 to 2001?

Looking at 1998 to 2001 models for about £3.5k all around 8-14k miles. Are there certain things to look out for that differ between models?

Must be a good market already as called about a couple tonight and they were sold :(

1998-1999 model is 918cc 129BHP (mine was anyway) with a 16" front wheel.
200-2001 model got 929cc, 17" wheel and fuel injection. Honda claimed 152bhp but realistically it was about 135bhp. I had a 1999 50th anniversary edition which in 2003 only got passed by 1 bike on the mountain on mad sunday (a new at the time K3 GSXR1000) so they are still very quick bikes.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, going to see a 2000 model this week, all depends what trade in I will get on mine as to whether I buy it or not.

Anything I should look out for or ask thats specific to this model?

Previous owner was a copper so possibly yes ;)

Money is a big issue so although I desperately want a Repsol Blade I can't have one. This one I am going to see is stretching my absolute budget as it is.

I had one for a couple of years.

Only problem I ever had was when accelerating hard from 3rd to 4th it seemed like 4th gear did not engage and the engine revved like crazy.
Only happened a few times in the 2 years i had the bike, and always when caning it on track days.

From looking at blade forums at that time it does not seem to be a problem encountered by others.

Highly recommended. Comfy and plenty fast enough.
Went to the IOM for a long weekend and the journey from Bromley to Liverpool was not a pain in the arse as some other bikes I've had can be.

Even got a small boot under the seat! You won't regret it. :) all round.
