Picture the scene ...

On the way home after a late lunch. Just cruising on the way out of Ayr heading for the A77, last car in the convey of four.

I hear a horn beep behind me, and turn around to see flashing blue lights and a lovely young pc pointing for me to pull over.

As I watch the other three guys take off into the distance, I wondered what I had been pulled for. We had all been quite sedate since lunch, and were within the local limit.

Apparently, 'several phone calls' had been made about a group of six Imprezas 'racing' http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/mad.gif on the backstreets around Ayr.

Their was at least four police cars on the main road, all apparently on the lookout for us http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif. I was let off on my merry way, after being told that I should 'let my friends know to slow it down a bit next time'.

Well I've learnt my lesson for sure, don't be the unlucky git at the end of the line http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif

Great day lads, but really could have done without the entertainment on the way home.

Oh, and have you ever noticed how many people go past you when you sit right on the speed limit for a 1.5 hour motorway journey ???
