Come along and enjoy a great day out, exploring some of the best driving roads in the Scottish Borders area.
Meet at AF Noble & Sons Subaru dealership (in Penicuik, south of Edinburgh) at 10:30am, on Sunday 9th July. From there onto some enjoyable driving roads, before lunch in a nice hotel.
After lunch, some more great driving roads, and onto the Jim Clark museum in Duns http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
Should be a fantastic day out, and I hope to see lots of you there.
More info on routes, including maps given out on the day.

HunterB 28 June 2000, 13:38 Sorry, John, I won't be able to make it (even though you're coming down to my home ground!). I'm on the committee of my local village's civic week organisation and we'll be cleaning up the place on the Sunday following the celebrations. Next time ....
Brian
I'll try and make it work permitting

Greg,
The more the merrier mate... So long as you've got a Scooby (or other fast car) then come along and be an Anorak (talk about exhausts, tyres, suspension etc) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
I'll be coming from Carlisle if you fancy meeting up before heading on up to Penicuik.

HunterB 06 July 2000, 00:17 Of possible interest to anyone with an import will be the locations of petrol stations that sell SUL. I know of the following:
Edinburgh: A702, Lothianburn junction off bypass, between Fairmilehead and Hillend - Esso station. Nearest one to Penicuik.
Edinburgh: A7, off Sheriffhall roundabout (east end of bypass) at Danderhall - Shell station.
Edinburgh: B6415, off Old Craighall roundabout (A1/bypass junction) adjacent to Burger King/Travelodge - Esso station.
Newtongrange: A7, between Newtongrange and Gorebridge at junction with B704 (traffic lights) - Shell station.
St Boswells - A68, BP station (possibly the most expensive petrol in the world, but the only station in the Borders that sells SUL! - expect to pay around 92.9p a litre). Nearest one to Duns (24 miles), unless you go to Berwick-upon-Tweed (15 miles, but in the other direction).
Berwick-upon-Tweed: A1167, coming in to Berwick from the A1 North, Shell station.
Have fun! If I can get out of my current commitments, I'll see you there. If not, another time ....
Brian
John Phillips 06 July 2000, 01:14 See you there.
Ken Ross 06 July 2000, 21:10 Any further Details Yet ?
A map of the start location would be handy.
Greg Small 06 July 2000, 21:30 HunterB,
Can also get the golden liquid at the shell garage at Jedburgh on the A68
DAVEW,
I will be leaving Hawick at about 9:30 or so. (Depending on the hangover) Mail me if you are coming through.
Cheers Greg

Ken,
you can't miss the dealership. Just head south from Edinburgh on the main road to Penicuik, and the dealership is just off the main road as you come into the Village.
