It is with great regret that i have to bring you the above news.

I had a call yesterday from the manager in Mondello, John Morris, and he informs me that he opened the new track last weekend and during the day the new tarmac lifted at the joints on all the Braking points around the track.

I went to mondello today to see what I could do but I'm afraid that the track is unsafe at the moment and there is no option but to cancel the day http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

I know this will cause great inconvienience to many members and to those that booked including myself. I have received payment from 20 people so far but none of the cheques have been cashed, so I can do a number of things. I can return the cheques, tear the cheques up or hold them for a further date. Opinions?

Track will reopen in about 2 weeks I'm told but the first available day is June 1st. I'm not at all happy about this and believe we should be "looked after" better than this.

I am sorry to hear that mondello is cancelled especially after all the work you have put in. You have no luck whatsoever.
Would it be worth looking at the cost of other tracks (nutts corner etc.) to see if it would be worth holding an ISDC track day there????

I second Andy W's proposal . We had all planned to go to Mondello on Friday . Why not wait two days and go to Kirkiston instead . We were going to hold a track day there anyway . It costs £60 stg and you get 4 15 minute sessions . I had 5 sessions as there wasn't many people there . I will post links for Kirkiston and the organisers , Trackskills , when I get home .

I've already spoken to track Skills about this day and they are willing to give the ISDC 10% discount for a group booking. I'll be there.
