Does anyone know what happened to Victor L's car? It blew up a few months back and he was to get it sorted out. I wonder what caused it? Was it running lean??

Paul,
I am not sure if this is the same guy. This guy was from the Sligo direction as far as I remember he posted on here a few months back to say he had engine problems
( suspected a hole in the piston)he was talking it to a guy in the North to get it sorted. The car had been modified when he got it. I was just wondering was it an incorrectly modified ECU or what.He hasn't posted on the board in months..

Paul, I believe your old car was spotted around Dublin since it was taken. Was it the one that was used in the robbery in Wexford by any chance ? I was listening to my scanner last week and a squad car was following a blue Scooby from Cookstown Ind Est and just as they were about to call in the reg for a check the guy on the radio said sh1t we have lost it, that was in a space of about 20 seconds.

Was your one blue ?

Yep Dark Blue Mica. Distinguishing features were 17" gunmetal grey alloys. Yellow Brembo calipers, Drilled discs, Twin headlights, Leather interior.

Could well be mine I'm afraid. And as you know the cops couldn't catch it then or now as I can imagine.

Paul what would happen if it was recovered now, would you get an option to buy it back or would the insurance co sell it on themselves. By the way, did they know about all the modifications. You don't have to answer this.

Yep they knew about most of them.
If it was recovered I get first refusal on buying it back. Not sure if I'd want it now.

Even more worring http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif
I got a call from my local sargent yesterday telling me to be extra vigilent with regards security as a guy from Ronanstown was arrested trying to steal a car in the locality and he had my address and make model and reg number of my car in his pocket along with a few other cars.
When he was questioned about this he said that he bought the information from a guy for £50. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

Have to go ......I'm busy wiring my car up to the mains. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Paul ,

Buy a rottweiler and leave it on the back seat ! I have a mate who works in a garage and a lady brought her car in for a service . He was leaving her home and he heard a growl behind him . Looked round and this rottweiler was watching him from 6" away . Lady said " Don't worry he won't touch you when I'm in the car . " He stopped on the way back for a change of underwear !
