I contacted simon (webmaster) and here's his reply about creating a joint forum..

Of course...
this is a good idea...

The only trouble is.. we will lose one of them...

we have the following options...

- Get rid of one and rename the other to "Ireland"
- Set-up another forum called "Ireland" and leave the others open for a few
weeks.

Which do you think would be best?

Cheers

Simon

Anybody who uses the forums(even if you only lurk in the background) please put your view here and after a week or so we will go with the most popular option...

I reckon we should get rid of one & rename the other to Ireland

I dont think theres any point in setting up the new one & keeping the others open for a few weeks

How about one called Ireland(north & south)and be politically correct. Not that politics should come onto a board like this.

Lets not goto Stormont over this one guys.

Just join it up and call it whatever. Ireland (North and South) sounds good or whatever you decide.

Agreed
it would be better if we joined them

Everyone seems to be agreed to join them. I think the best way is to get rid of one and rename the other. I think we should get rid of the north forum (165 posts) and rename the South(325 posts) forum Ireland(north and south). So if there is any interesting posts/information on the North forum put them in the south forum.
I will let it run for a few more days then let simon know what we want to do.
Where are the Moderators I think they should have a say...
