Hi, I've got a Forester t/tb and the rear struts have failed - i'm trying to source a replacement pair but failing misrably - can anyone help with a possible source or any info on compatible parts.

I replaced my S/tb ones with KYB struts.
Genuine items will be very hard to track down and very expensive - ironically they are KYB labelled Subaru items.

Phoned KYB (01925 417444) and gave them the chassis number, they then gave me the part No. (£170 each cheaper than the price quoted by the Garage who supplied the car).

If you want a secondhand one - I know they have a couple of Foresters breaking at the moment.

I seem to remember they cost £225 + vat for all of the struts, but that was 3 years ago.
Its an outrageous mark up by Subaru for what are the same parts.
