Afternoon all,

I am coming up to Croft on Friday...tho not on track this time...however I will be bringing my windscreen/side window video camera mount...and my digital video which I will be happy to lend to anyone on the day...

If you want it...bring a small camcorder/digital camcorder and just grab me by the track...

It should be fairly obvious which is my P1 http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Gregh,

Still in the office http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif....got the message late...so thought I'd speak tomorrow... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif...I have a digital camera with a few spare tapes...so if you want you can use that (if yours doesn't fit)

Stef...now I know CK1 normally has an onboard camera...could be good for CK1 Productions to have an additional camera onboard as well...facing rear/sideways etc...

Will no doubt chat about it at the track...

I have been looking for a window camcorder mount for a while now but havent found anything decent in the UK. Where did you buy yours from, how much, and does it stay stuck to the window even during serious track conditions?

thanks

M_D_B, how did you find the mount, any good? Might invest in one myself.

Robbo,
the mount has arrived, but it is basically a suction cup with a mount on it. This means that I have had to get a couple of tripod heads to be able to mount the camera the right way up. However, it has still worked out cheaper than anything else I've come across, but I'm not sure how much camera shake I'm going to get with this. Hopefully I'll get some time to shoot some test footage with it mounted on
a)the windscreen,
b)passenger window
c)rear window,
all facing forwards.
I may end up buying one of the more expensive mounts, but that's part of the fun.
I'll post my findings and links to the footage next weekend when I've had a play.

Martin.

There's a review of the Hague mounts in this months Camcorder User which may be of interest.
