I'm seeing if i can orginise a group buy on uprated droplinks made by whiteline and powerflex.
I think it would be helpful if I could say to the company in question that we have some interested parties.

What do you guys think.

Here are some pics of the kit and a small description along with the current price they are selling them at.

** these do not fit STI's ** they do however fit any year car.

Whiteline *Front* alloy - £70.50 > Below

Whiteline *Rear* alloy - £70.50 > Below

The above 2 are currently avalible as a boxed gift set - £129.24 (saving £11)

Whiteline *Front* STEEL - £36.43 > Below

Whiteline *Rear* STEEL - £36.43 > Below

Poweflex *Rear* alloy - £69.26

Whiteline *Front* Spherical Bearing - £70.50 > Below

I personally think the steel versions are a very good price already and may be the ones i go for myself as i'm hoping to get a group buy started for the front and rear anti roll bars as well as the anti lift kit. (all whiteline)

I've had alloy Powerflex rears DL's on my 05wrx for over 6 mths now and they do make a big difference, dialing out a lot of understeer. Got rid of the rest by fitting a Whiteline 22mm adj. ARB. Well worth it IMHO..!;)

ARB would be a good thing to try and get included in this GB.

I'm up for getting rear drop links (can be steel) and rear uprated ARB for 05 WRX. :)

These were the prices I got for the Whiteline bits from Dave Featherstone @ Demon Tweeks. Prices include the 15% discount (also applies to eibach bits if you prefer) for mentioning Scoobynet. Prices in brackets refer to the normal retail price excluding discount. Car was 53 plate sti. Delivery and service spot on! Might be an idea to see if you can get an additional discount for a GB?

Whiteline BSF33Z 22mm Adjustable front ARB £74.90 + vat ( £88.12 + vat )

Whiteline BSR36Z 22mm Adjustable rear ARB £74.90 + vat ( £88.12 + vat )

Whiteline KCA359 Anti Lift Kit £92.12 + vat ( £108.38 + vat )

Whiteline KLC32 Alloy Drop Link front conversion £49.06 + vat ( £57.72 +
vat )

Whiteline KLC26 Alloy Drop Link rear £48.93 + vat ( £57.56 + vat )

Whiteline KLC19 Steel Drop Link rear £27.57 + vat ( £32.44 + vat )

As posted above Demon Tweeks are already very reasonable on price on whiteline stuff and with the 15% discount and fast delivery (no waiting around to get the numbers and for everyone to pay, just phone Dave up and they arrived next day)! it made them even better - I got front and rear droplinks in the last GB from Tweeks:)

Another vote from me for demon tweaks :)
Give dave featherstone a ring, tell him what you want, quote scoobynet, take delivery within days, although they're still waiting on a shipment of arb's from oz at the mo'.

That's the only problem with DT is that it takes for ever for them to get the stock in. As soon as they take delivery it goes (mostly pre-ordered)..!

I'd be interested in the front and rear drop links plus rear ARB if the GB can get a saving worth having. Not sure about the ALK at the mo.

Cheers.

Hi,

I don't want to hijack the thread, but we can do the following rear droplinks for £39.95 including recorded delivery postage.

These replacement performance links are stronger and lighter than equivilant aluminium links as they are made from ERW Steel and use low compliance Polyurethane bushes with Stainless Steel crush tubes, and a powder coated finish so just fit and forget. Includes new bolts, nuts and washers and fitting intructions.

The next batch of 20 will be ready for mid to end of february if this is of any interest. Rears only though at the minute.

Many Thanks,
Kim.

Guys, shop around. I've had the Noltec (http://www.mocomracing.com/product_details.asp?id=175&cat=4&sub=35) versions fitted on my wagon since their top mount GB last year. Fit, quality and service is as ever superb.

Edited to add the question to Kim:-

How does the supposed additional strength help when the majority of the flex has been removed by the fitment of any of the 'solid' droplinks and in my years of ownership I've not heard of any failures other than that of OEM?

Hi Mo,

The statement of stronger and lighter is a general point regarding the material and end product as a comparison against Aluminium ones. No performance improvement is implied nor intended over Aluminium links or any other aftermarket ones for that matter.

Just edited the price to be £39.95 including postage as we have managed to get a discount on the poly bushes.

Regards,
Kim.

i've been phoning rally nuts and emailing them as they requested to get something sorted. i just seem to be chasing someone that doesnt seem to be doing anything about this possible group buy, with that in mind i dont want to put my money to a company that cant give a straight yes no answer and one that i have to constantly chase.

I think it would be best to use demon tweeks or another company.

Will, speak to Nathan or Zak at Mocom Racing (http://www.mocomracing.com/). They sorted out the group buy on the Noltec gear last year and I can't recommend them highly enough. They stock all chassis components ARBs, droplinks, top mounts etc.

I'm interested in the above but want a full set. Any idea when you will have the fronts?

Blue94WRX300

SkoobLou,

No front links are available at the minute, as we have concentrated on the rears only, as these make the most difference when swapping the OEM ones.

The front OEM links are not a plastic high compliance unit in the same way as the rears, therefore swapping the fronts won't be as noticable as doing the rears... also any advantage in stiffening up the rear anti roll bar (descrease in understeer) would be somewhat lost if you further stiffened up the front.

In my opinion a set of solid rear droplinks and front antilift kit make for the most effective upgrades in terms of cost and performance.

Thanks,
Kim.
