salsa-king 05 February 2001, 22:42 i can help with Nottigham side!! 20mins from dono!
THE BEECHES (Nottm)
Andy H 05 February 2001, 22:43 Try the Jarvis Hotel a couple of junctions north of Donnington. Stayed there last year, like a travel lodge, just a bit nicer rooms.
About £50 a room per night and has a good pub with food next door. Only problem is that there is no breakfast on a weekend before 8am.

About 50 quid I think...

salsa-king 06 February 2001, 11:06 i take it ur on about Dono on the 18th?
if you are, I will be going early that morning so if you are on track i could meet up with you in Nottingham then we could drive there together, as i know the way. it is quite close! it takes me 20min from home to drive to E. Midlands Airport/dono.
check out the Nottm wed site there will be more Nottm based hotels on there, if your here 4 the weekend you will not be disapointed!
5 girls to ever bloke!!!!!
good clubs/pubs all in a short walk from each other.
i can always meet u saturday to show you round.
good local/city history (Robin Hood) etc
Nottm Royal Moat House (is a top hotel, surposidly lol)
tel 0115 936 9988
might be expensive at weekends (but hardly ever full, so they might do a special rate, ask the Nottm tourist information centre, they my be able to tell you what deals hotels have over the weekends!)
The Welbeck Hotel
tel 0115 841 1000
is another, just behind the Royal Moat House.
these r both city centre based! in the middle of it all! lol
let me know what u diside,
Nottm would be a better bet if you want to make a weekend of it!
Phil
Sam Elassar 06 February 2001, 13:19 thanks phil
this is becoming more interesting now. hmmmm.. i did not know that Nottm is that close to donni. sorry please excuse my ignorance. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif me and my friend are coming down on the friday and planning to go out on the friday night and the saturday night http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif, i think going out in Nottm will be even better as it is probably the nearest big city ( i hope i am right ). so staying in Nottm could be an option how far away is it to travel from there to the track on sunday morning ?
i will give these hotels a phone to check availablity.
cheers for the help guys
sam

Drop email salsa-king, he lives in Nottingham and is young, free and single http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif LOL so will give you some tips.
Phil also sorts out times and places for meeting up, we usually set out around 7.30-8am so leave the nightclubs alone. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Phil
Sam Elassar 07 February 2001, 00:39 hi phil
we will be arriving late on friday so there is no reason for you to miss your salsa classes mate.
i am 27 and scott is 25 and we are up for loads of alcohol and some dancing we are really quite easy when it come to this sort of thing http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif hopefully some places near the hotel so we don't get lost or have to pay a huge taxi fare http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
we got the royal for £90 as it is valentines week end special kind of thing ( how sweet )
what is happening on the saturday at donni ? is there still spaces left. we may want to try the circuit briefly and see how the slick perform ? scotty is getting 18" alloys and slicks for his extremely quick EVO VI ! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif so i reckon the ******* will have an edge over us.
sam
salsa-king 07 February 2001, 14:11 ok, i'm 26,
so r we are out on the pull then or what?!!! lol
DON'T DRINK IN THE HOTEL BARS!!!
very expensive!!!, if you wanna drink when you get there, go to the bars over the road from the hotel!!!! 'Rat & Parrot' etc
no need to worry about Taxi fares, clubs are in walkin distance of the Royal, we will start over in 'Hockley' area of town trendy side of town (1bed flats go 4 £100K plus!! 4
Nottm thats dear!) then if you wanna try a club, 'Faces' might be ok!!! (over 25's) or if you want teenie bopper club we could goto the 'Palais'or 'Ocean' (i do hav a members card 4 the Palais!!!)
there are a few late bars if you wanna do that! 'Lizard Lounge' (bar/club) could be good! both clubs cost about £5/6 to get in.
'Faces' might be £2 with a flier!!!b4 11pm
then we meet at 7:15 sunday morning to go to dono,
i think Dono hav a spare day free, that was open to peeps if they wanted it!?? not 2 sure!
Phil

RobMac 07 February 2001, 20:52 What's wrong with Oasis?
I've had many a good night there... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
Make sure you take the cattle prod to fight them off though... it can get scary http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
And Smilin' Sam's bar next door has THE best selection of video games in the area (you wouldn't guess I was 32, would you?)
logiclee 07 February 2001, 21:32 LOL @ RobMac http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

how many did you have in there???
it's called
ISIS
didn't u feel a little old in there??? lol
even isis is full of kids! not spozed to be, or was it grab a granny nite!!!!! JOKE M8 !!
i've had many a good nite there on a Monday, (student nite, never been a student tho)
one bank holiday there was a q 2 get in, all the way over the car park at 9:15pm, i drove a white E36 BM at the time, the car was full of my mates! we had 'Coolio's Gansters Paradise' pumping out on the ICE, we drove up to the q, it parted like Moses and the Red Sea! we got out near the main entrance, my friend nu someone who worked there, and we got straight in without having to wait 2 hours in the queue, like some of my other m8's who were there at 9pm!!!! lol a v good nite was had by all! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
no, ISIS is v good, but if the lads don't want to be 'stung' with taxi fares Nottm City clubs might be better,
if they wanna try ISIS i will drive! as i'm a non drinker!!! it has it's advantages, (u can be more choooosey with the laydeees, not under the infulance)lol + remember what they look like etc etc etc lol lol lol http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
i have members card 4 there as well, will get guests in!
Phil
