Once again, the lovely people at Eggar Lawson have set up a "Group Policy" for Oulton Park on the 27th Jan http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Same deal as for Donnington - £75. Much cheaper than insuring indevidually.

Ring 'em and ask for Nik or Georgina & quote <B>"Scooby Day"</B> (this event's password http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif ). This will ensure you're on the scheme, not charged full wack.

See you there http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Cost to you sir is £75 http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Anyone else taking part, the cost is the same. That gives you upto £12,000 damage cover (not inc engine/transmission).

Puff,
Do you think the lovely people at EL will give me the same deal despite the fact I am doing a different track day at a different location but on the same day http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
Rich.

£75 http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif - they covered Knockhill for £35 last summer!! Is Oulton Park such a more dangerous circuit?

It's a case of building up a history. JohnS & his bunch of tipsy-toes ( http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif ) have not had a claim. Us southern British dross have only just started on group policies. Hopefully, we will have a few events claim free & then the premium will come down http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Cheaper than a solo insurance anyway...

....and even cheaper than paying for repairs yourself http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Lets just make sure this is another claim-free event!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif - EVERYONE LISTENING?? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

EL also state that Oulton Park is a high risk circuit, and a faster circuit, hence claims are bigger http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif EVERYONE LISTENING?? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

See you on the track (careful) road warriors http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Yes,

but remember that the event at KH last year was only a half day, not a full day like Oulton park. Statistically, accidents are more likely to happen towards the end of a long day after the drivers (and cars) are a bit tired.

The track itself also has a lot to do with it. KH is relatively slow in terms of corner speeds, and has plenty of run-off/gravel where you need it most. Visits ot the tyre wall (or even the gravel) are relatively rare at KH, and they have just made some circuit changes to make it even safer.

Nik at EL has even attended one of our track days at KH, just to see how safe and sensible we are on track.
