I think ive narrowed down the xmas pressie for the other half, to one of these two.

Can get the Panasonic for £280(ish) and the Fuji for £223(ish)

But which is the better camera and can filters be used on both?

Panasonic spec >>> http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/615_268194.html

Fuji Spec >>> http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/store/dix_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0918759923.113519038 3@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccdeaddgidlkhlicflgceggdhhmdgmi.0&page=Product&sku=757874&fm=undefined&sm=undefined&tm=undefined&tabIndex=1

Any other better ones out there for similar money?

Hopefully, with your help i'll get the right one tomorrow :D

The store price for the Panasonic is £349.99 tho!

Don't think you'll get delivery from buying online for Saturday.

Will the store price match the online price?

If you want to use filters, there needs to be a female thread on the inside of the barrel, right at the front of the lens. It's not clear from the pics on the links.

If the front of the lens rotates during focusing, you will find it a bit of a fiddle when using a polariser or graduated filter (a 'grad') which must be correctly oriented to work properly.

Ive found the Panasonic for sale in the high street for £279.99. it doesnt have an internal thread in the lens as its telescopic and comes outwards.

The Fuji does have the internal thread however.

Looking at both specs though, which is the better? Sorry, I'm totally green when it comes to camera speak :(
