Sorry its a bit early, but I'm very bored at work.

Whats your New Year resolutions in regards to photography?

Mine are

Get to alot more gigs (practice makes perfect)

Get out and do lots more landscapes / wildlife after all this is why I picked up a camera in the first place.

Learn about the subjects, including getting my head around the bits I don't understand.

Lastly, practice, practice, practice. Oh and practice.

Ooops forgot 1 and perhaps the biggets of all. To get at least 1 pic published, and not by myself or on a friends website.

To get out and shoot more. 2005 was a disaster for me health-wise so I'll be glad to see the back of it and plan to make much more of an effort to shoot better landscapes and spend more time thinking about the subjects in front of me before I press the shutter release.

More doing, less talking about it. Well, more doing, anyway ;)

SC's reading the manual is a good one. These D-SLRs are very clever, but they do some daft things. Making one setting often changes another without your knowledge (as Si found out :D ). Why does setting the mirror-up switch the drive to single-shot only (Canon 20D/350D)? Why does the mirror flip down again after 30 secs regardless? Bl00dy annoying

Richard.

Oh don't worry, there are plenty more to be had at Canon user's expense. :D Like colour of lenses to start with :D

And actually I can lock my mirror up, I just can't do it on the camera, I have to use a remote.

Mind you, I'm about to cannibalize an EOS 500 for parts on my Nikon, only cos I couldn't get a Nikon part though :D
