There were some nice entries this time but very few (imo) fitted the subject.

(simple, good natural frame, interesting lighting, a gentle thought-provoking picture)

Very difficult to make a call on how well some of the pics fit the theme, as discussed before. Some others were lovely pics but I've had to rule them out on the theme part.

My votes are as follows:

5 points - Ricardo "Time and Tide"
a simple idea which works well and you can almost hear the wave about to wash over the footprints.

4 points - Charlie Whiskey "Gate of Dawn" nice composition as well as a time of day I don't often see.

3 points - Mr Scoob "4.38pm" I like the pic with the pier and birds also but prefer the simplicity and composition of this one.

2 points - Charles W "Time to Reflect" a more literal interpretation but still neatly done.

1 pont - GAVCTR "Morning Glory" again nice composition and quite a timeless scene.

4 Points - For Eternity, Flat4, the colour and leaves make this normally boring subject look interesting.

3 Points - Clock making lady, mgcvk, interesting idea that says 'time' straight away without any thought.

2 Points - Time And Tide, ricardo, not sure where time comes into this but I like the picture :D

1 Point - Evening Flight, Mr Scoob, nice picture, the birds really grabbed my attention.

Some great entries. :notworthy ,However IMO many stretched the theme a bit tooooo far.
Also some of the entries Break rule 1 or rule 2 and some both :nono: . A couple of which have scored points. :wonder:
Not sour grapes on my part, just dont see the point of rules if we dont have to stick to them.

Clock making lady - 5 awesome. lots to love about this picture
As time goes by -4 reflection on the 10 distracts, but otherwise a great picture
Time of Day - 3 in the spirit of the theme and a nice sharp picture
Gate of dawn - 2 nice landscape and feel dawn is valid
For Eternity - 1 nicely taken



ricardo, exellent picture but for me does not fall into the theme.

This was not an easy subject, though there was plenty of scope if you thought about it. Some fine photos, but some are not really on subject.

5 points - Time and Tide ricardo A really good shot. Lovely textures.
4 points - For Eternity flat4 True to the subject. Good colours and textures.
3points - Long Time Dead Sticky Stuff It gets the moody atmosphere of an old graveyard perfectly.
2 point - Gate of Dawn Charlie Whiskey Nice shot and it is a time of day I suppose.

Unfortunately mgcvk's Clock Making Ladies is no longer eligible (rule 2) so i have amended my results

2 points - Clock making lady mgcvk -- nice shot and good use of DOF, and that hand looks surreal !!!
1 point - Romantic Moment Mr Scoob -- a bit of a cliché but I liked the use of flare in this shot and the almost silhouette. I would have given this more points but found the bird in the picture distracting.

ricardo, exellent picture but for me does not fall into the theme.

Never heard "time and tide waits for no man"? - fits the theme perfectly IMHO - oh, and as you say it's an excellent picture :)

Some people have no imagination save the flames for NSR. it is a matter of personal opinion, of which i am entitled to. i am not saying that that you should share my opinion.

I don't do NSR, it was a general observation of the fact that some people do not 'get' certain pics. IMHO there are a few which have nothing to do with time at all. Time & Tide is not one of them.

Are we just ignoring the votes for the ones which break the rules?

Regardless of the votes, I happen to think my entry fitted the theme quite well.

From a creative pov, Time and Tide is excellent. most of the others, imho, are lacking.

It's a pity, as the theme this month is quite an exciting one.
