I'm looking to get my girlfriend a digital camera but am not sure which one to go for. I was thinking of the Canon Ixus 55 or the Sony T7. I'm looking for a good quality bit of kit that is easy to use, take decent pics and isn't too big. As I've not bought a digital camera before I'm looking for advice.

I got my Fujifilm S5500 for under £200 about a year ago. It took superb pics, was easy to use and looked like a real camera too. It may be a bit larger than what your looking for but its my recommendation becasue I owned one and it was faultless.

For info I think its been updated now but im sure the newer version will be more of the same but better.

I had one of them before the S5500 and they still make great money second hand. Great little camera and good for flogging on e-bay in a year or two.

Only gripe I ever had about mine was the battery seemed to discharge after a short period of time.
