In this weeks Motoring News, for sale Matthew Wilsons, Paul Birds, Barry Clarks and Lorna Smiths cars and elsewhere Will Nichols scoob. Is this an indication of forthcoming chaos in UK rallying following the changes in next years BRC, or wot.

I heard rumours that eddie stobart may be concentrating more on british superbikes next year with paul bird, but as you say they may be selling up to buy group n gear for next years brc... but barry clark and lorna smith's cars are up for sale which are group n and maintained regardless of cost so would seem a little strange if they are going to carry on next year.
It will be a shame if they do stop as they brought guarenteed good drivers to most BRC rounds, rallying next year is all up in the air at the moment especially now with the rally of wales being cancelled.
We will have to wait and see what happens, as for Will Nicholls car we will have to wait for Mr Broom to reply on here as he is obviously the man in the know!!
Lets hope hes just upgrading!

Birdy's car has gone already. It's in Ireland now. He used Mark's car on the Grizedale last weekend.

Rich and DG
Well spotted - You don't want to buy it by chance do you?!!
However please be assured that we haven't gone into hiding - all that has happened is that Will has got fed up with those gearstick thingys so we have bought a P2000 with sequential !!
Have registered to do the Rallymasters next year (shame about the Rally of Wales) and are currently having the car converted into right hand drive (yes I know !!)
First outing in real anger will be the Sunseeker although will have to use it once before then to make sure it is OK.
The only other problem we can't resolve at the moment is that the new car is white (yuk) but it was too good a deal to turn down.
Cheers for now

Nick,
How do you think the Rallymaster will shape up next year. Any indications of who else is likely to entering. It could be the saviour of the BRC IMHO.
