I'd like to know where you're getting all these women from....;)

Not sure if the strong red suits the rest of the subject colour. I suggest posting the full colour version for comparison.

MrShades, I suspect they are the same woman, and more than likely his wife :D

I always find that once the first couple of buttons are undone, then your can put the camera away ;) I salute your dedication :D

Flute holder! Sorry....what did you want comments on? Rather raunchy Paul...and I think you might get this thread vaped (ask Simon :)).

I don't think the sepia toning works too well with the red and would like to see the full colour version as Simon suggested.

Paul, not too keen on the selective colouring TBH. Her face is in shadow too, she should be looking the other way or you have the main light on the wrong side. I'm not a fan of seeing shadows on the background....

And that G-string is not on straight. If you're going for symmetry, then get it right man! Pay more attention in future. Whatever were you thinking of :D

At least she's taken the price stickers off the shoes. I never bother - it only causes problems when you take them back for a refund ;)

Not to mention doing a good job at "slicing and dicing" :norty:

Ahh, but this is Art, not a "lads" post.

However I think SN runners may like to clarify whats acceptable postings in varios sections. TBH what may be classed as porn in NSR we would class as art here. (rememeber the Flute thread, not much difference, but it got vaped)

Don't get me wrong, I'm in no way offended, I'm a normal, single 29 yo male :norty: with a very vivid imagination :D

Okay, so you're a perve like the rest of us. Now then, what's this Flute thing? Did nobody save it before it was vaped? Being a perve is one thing; being a dullard perve is quite another ;)

Didn't save it cos I saw in in the thread. Basically take the shot above and put a champagne flute in bewteen the cheeks :norty:

AS for the rest, ok you've got me :D why do you think I enjoy gig photogrpahy so much :D :norty:

It needs more symmetry, space on wither side is unequal, and on close inspection the g-string needs to cover a bit more. There is clutter behind the bed that I find distracting. The darkness on the face is because of the makeup, which is a good point, if you are serious about studio work you need to get someone who understands makeup and what photos you want (B&W, colour etc)

The red on sepia is a cheap effect that doesn't look too good, the original colours or straight B&W/toned would look better.

Si, thanks for the info. But I've told you once ;) Your gig pics merely prove the point  Prattling on about cropping and colour balance are a clever disguise though, m8. Should fool yer GF :D

Kiwi, I think we can all learn from your informed disertation. Thank you :)

Ahh, that would be Kira. I'd recognise that arse anywhere Paul. ;) ;)

I would agree with above posts, colours are not right for this shot, full colour would be more suitable. IMHO of course, but there are no right answers in this game. :)

As for lighting, again, as above, needs some fill in the face as it is in shadow from the main light. Either a reflector close in to push some light back in or an additional light for fill would do.

Cheers

Ian

If you wanted to make it arty you could also repeat the same photo but this time have her bound and gagged, with a pair of handcuffs lying on the bed :)

Hi All

Right, firstly, i do hope the pic hasnt offended anyone, by most of the comments i dont think it has, afterall there is nothing on show too offend. I certainly hope the thread doesnt get vaped, because it is a `photography` forum afterall.

As for the choice of clothing, that was up to the model and i didnt have a say in that, as i was invited along to the shoot to try to gain some experiance in studio work. There was two models and i shot about 200 pics of each on a tfp/tfcd account. This is the first time i have ever been in a enviroment like this and i can tell you, i sat in the corner shaking for most of it :wonder: . Thank god i took my blood pressure tablets before i went:D .

It is a shame that i cant post up any of the other pics, there are some better ones, but they are topless and that might offend-god only knows why as we see topless women everyday in the papers, on the beach etc etc, but thats life! even my wife(which she is not) appreciated them.

So here is the colour version as requeste-uncropped, un photoshopped - shot using the 1D, ISO 100, 125TH/SEC F11 using two softboxes and a ceiling lamp.

Much prefer the second one, nice!

For the Art/Adult content debate, it might be nice to add to a NSFW to the title of posts like these. Contents aren't offensive to most but I wouldn't want to click on at work and have it pop up :norty: there. Just my 2p...

I would post up the flute pic to show how well symmetry works in an image but it might get this thread zapped even though Paul's image is much more revealing than the flute pic.

So mods, delete this post only if you really think this pic (http://www.alwyngreer.com/temp/champagne.jpg) offends.

So thats the infamous flute shot. Cant see what all the fuss is about, i can understand the symetrical reasoning with the centraly located glass but i would have had her arms in the same position, and as for the distracting curtain in the background....................

Oh well, i think it all makes for a great debate on what is morrally correct, but even more so, the composure and understanding of a picture that is presented to you for critism. I personally love the black and white and colouring in effect, i think im adapting it as my style, also, the original shot was supposed to be a (almost) natural shot, i think she had dropped a earring down the back of the bed and was about to look for it:D

The flute is nice, but I once knew a girl who could hold the whole bottle.
