WALKER 05 March 2001, 07:59 After the very succesful Wales camping trip last year its time to start arranging another one.
All those that attended last years event will agree that the roads were absolutley superb. The campsite will hopefully be the same one, but i need to get some numbers together so we can book our 'field' again.
The dates for this years trip will be May 12th and 13th.
Meeting point for the journey to Snowdonia wil be arranged closer to the day.
Take a look here

Chris.
Stevie 05 March 2001, 23:33 Would definitely have gone but will be in Spain.
Couple of observations though,
1) We have just had a 3 day off road event at Kyle of Localsh postponed for at least 4 months due to Foot and Mouth. Politically correct thing to do and all that.
2) The EVO Forum are having an absolutely MASSIVE meet that weekend. They are now posting privately in case the Police get the miseries but they were meeting at the Little Thief in Builth Wells and then diving up to Snowdonia to play on the EVO triangle. I am convinced they will have hundreds of cars if the event does go ahead. The event is Sunday only. I was in the BWells Thief on Saturday and the carpark can only hold about 20!!
I hope this does not dampen your spirits too much ( the rain in Wales will do that) and you have a good trip. Just thought you ought to know.
MMMmmmmm
I've been to a few Northern meets but only one Midlands Camping trip ....
The Camping has my vote, having read the previous post not sure if this is the right weekend ?? Personly I can make it so it's up to numbers I guess http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/confused.gif
lets see how many we get ...
K
CharlieWhiskey 07 March 2001, 22:26 Paul, count me in, of course! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif (is the Pope Catholic?) but I do agree with boomer & think we should change the date if it clashes with NM5 as I know a lot of people who expressed an interest in the 'next one' will be at that meet.
I have some ideas for inclusion, I will try to email you from work 2morow (it includes some wicked roads and my mates pub http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif)
Chris
(more Scoobymiles required!)

boomer 08 March 2001, 22:12 Paul,
any chance of moving Wales to the week before (Anne Robinson permitting)?
Thus no EVO conflicts, and a chance to do NM5 n'all!

boomer 08 March 2001, 22:28 Chris,
Re: PMRs
Dixons do the bog-standard Motorola versions, but i bought the Cobra PMR300 which includes scan facility, backlight, water-resist etc. (GBP70 to GBP90)

WALKER 10 March 2001, 14:27 Right then, due to some of the local lads that missed out last year, and would like to attend this time, i have changed the weekend dates.
This will now be held on MAY 12+13th.
I hope thid doesnt spoil anybodys plans, the original dates clashed with the popular Northern Meet 5 so best to change it.
Regards
Paul http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
Paul....
I'm up for this still, might cancel my run up north and save the fuel for Wales instead ... that way I have more beer tokens for the night away http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
For those who never made the last Wales camping trip visit my link on Paul's initial post ... it was a fantastic weekend spoiled only by the fuel dispute which started to take hold on the drive home ...
Great roads, great site, great food 'n' beer .... and how great was my breakfast !!
go on you know you want to come .....

i'm all for a bit of woggle polishing, oops, camping, er, male bonding, er, you know what i mean!!!
Date sounds good, weather should be ok, F&M should be sorted (or so Tony's Team says) and there should be no fuel blockades (although just watched last nights documentary on video http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif ).

Can the girlies come?? Colin http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif needs to be out in the fresh air and if Steve, Geoff, Pamela http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/cool.gif and Pierce are all going, Colin will feel left out. Not to forget Reg as well.
Anyway can the girlies come, just think we can do the cooking, and pack all the tents up for you all.........NOT
