Dudes, I just thought that i'd change the title from the last thread, as it's not really that obvious that there's a decent sized meet starting to brew

Still don't know whether to do daytime or evening meet, I feel an alldayer coming on, just so that people can turn up whenever it is convienient for them, However, 2 or 3 scoobs in the car park at any one time, hardly costitutes a meet does it

Sussed it, Daytime meet 13:00hrs and cos we're all big lads now, i'm sure we can decide how long we want to stay for

Venue: The Unicorn, Gunthorpe Bridge, Nottingham
Time : 13:00hrs onwards

With regards to the timing, i.e Northern meet 5 etc, having had a look at various calenders, there is something on every weekend between now and October!!! so i really can't see the point in moving anything.

However we will not be able to do the unicorn as I have just been there tonight and discovered it is shut. The unicorn is closed till June? What a daft time to close for refurbishment.

Anyway given there are other pubs in Gunthorpe not all is lost. I suggest we meet in the Anchor(50 yards round the corner).

LEICESTER BOYS!! should use the A46 to newark ,untill you spot signs for southwell,you'll see the pub as you go over a stone bridge,at which point you should turn right. tommy. p.s I might make it myself.

off the a46 at the Bingham Island u see the a614 sign 4 Doncaster (as well as the Southwell one)
as soon as you go over Gunthorpe bridge, turn right at the road sign that says 'Gunthorpe RiverSide' the pub will be infront of u as u gget to the bottom of the road.

Sorry mate, but i too have to give you a pathetic excuse for not attending the meet. Was looking forward to it, but due to having the flu and being laid up in bed for a couple of days everything that i should have done through the week is now having to be done at the weekend

Alternativley, if any of you lot fancy popping round to my house tonight and helping me level the garden, lay about 200 paving slabs, excavate two ponds and a stream, erect some decking and finish off laying the turf i`ll be able to come

The Unicorn is closed at the moment for refurbishment, or at least appears to be. Shouldn't be a problem though, the Anchor is a stones throw away, and you can still use the car park in front of the Unicorn.
