Phil
Akira 09 April 2001, 22:52 Can vouch for the Pubs cred.
Been in there for lunch today as I was seeing a customer in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Good Sunday meet material.
Anyone care to organise? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif pass the buck.
Chris.
logiclee 10 April 2001, 18:47 Gunthorpe would make a top mid-week meet. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
The bikers already use it in summer, I'm sure we could fill the riverside carpark with Scoobs. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
Lee
Gridlock Mikey 11 April 2001, 11:36 OK then, there we have it, top venue, plenty ov people vouching for it, ideal as a weekday or weekend meet, pubs that overlook the carparks and river, on a nice day the place is teeeeeeeeming with pretty women and blokes having a testosterone moment, carpark full ov quality machinery (2 + 4 wheels),cool for families.
I don't know what goes into organising one of these meets, but on the basis that it can't be that hard to do, i'll give it a go.
So, i'm thinking Saturday the 21st or 28th April.
Let me know what date is best, the majority vote will carry http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
If you require more info, post it here and/or e-mail me at imprezachap@aol.com
C'mon, let's get it on in cool stylie http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/cool.gif

Hanslow 11 April 2001, 11:57 Mike,
Me and the missus should be able to make it down there now that we know where it is after some excellent directions http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif.
28th is better for us as it's just after (small http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif) pay day.
logiclee 11 April 2001, 14:33 28th for me Mikey, I'm working on the 21st. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Gridlock Mikey 12 April 2001, 08:22 Wicked http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
So, sofar the facts are:
28th April is the date
I suggest that it is a daytime meet as it allows people to do other stuff in the evening (With the Scoobs safely tucked away for the night http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif) open to reasons why an evening meet could be better though http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
Sofar 9 people have got thier names down, they are (in no particular order http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif)

The car park will hold about 60 vehicles in the front car park, and about 200 in the rear so don't be shy. It cost's £1 to park in the front car park but you get £1 off of your first drink if you produce the ticket at the bar http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Just to stop any confusion the pub Mike is discussing is the Unicorn (there are 2 others).
Maybe if people give it the thumbs up we could make it a monthly meet at the end of each month? Just an idea anyway.

RBN,
If the weather is nice, expect to find people there from midday until about 8. It all depends on what other things people have got on, where they are coming from, if they have kids etc.
It is impossible to accomodate everyone so it's kinda up to the individual to fit around the meet plan as best they can. If you can't make it, then i'm sure that there will be plenty of other meets http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
So there you have it everyone, A venue, a date, a timeframe, lets be having you http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
as always, any questions, let me know sooner rather than later.
