If anybody knows The Middle Bell public house in Barton under Needwood, my friend has just bought it. He owns a Impreza and is Scooby mad, although he doesnt have internet acess at the mo!

He has even converted a corner of the pub into a Scooby shrine with lots of trackday piccies on the wall.

Barton under Needwood is just off the A38 between Lichfield and Burton. Ask for Darren or Francis, mention Scoobynet or myself and you will be well looked after!

Cheers

Bit far for me, could you ask them to buy the pub just down the road from my house (about 400yards). I'll not have to drive then http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Sounds good. Not too far from me.
If enough people go and have a look, it could become a good meeting place

Paul - great Barton is few minutes from where I live in Lichfield!

PS See you later at Donnington Services.

Paul,

is the Middle Bell the one that (i guess until recently) was run by Antonia from Brazil? There is a conservatory around the back, and an upstairs "for hire" room?

If so, then do you know where she has gone?

mb

p.s.

It's just up the road from me, so roll on the first meet!!

p.p.s. Richard, i hope that you enjoyed your burger earlier http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Sounds like a good excuse for a sunday afternoon meet when the weather gets better.

Shame I missed the curry night http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif, weekdays is difficult though.

cheers

That's handy, I can pop in on the way home from the new Central Rivers depot when I have delivered one of Mr Bransons new trains http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

It may be a good venue for a meet, or a start/finish point for a quick tour (when all the F&M stuff dies down)
