remember back, way back.
I had a thread going about tidying up the cabin.
I have moved on a wee bit and need some help from you 'orrible lot.

I bought a defi-style cubby pod, hacked out the main panel and mounted my avc-r and widebandO2 display.
I still have the commander mounted on a fire extinguisher holder and the SPA dual gauge on the A-pillar.

like this but you have to imagine the dash top thing (http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0TQAdA1kVSBS2HcnsdWe0eY9XAL3PELb*o!lvIRGwEIacA*QHd upUmtUdyccifs0zn0*q0M4*0VhBEKz!NN6zUY4PfH2ha*4Bkss vjmc2ktXXTyTrOIMpyg/101_6554.JPG?dc=4675497555804243707)

now I have two defi gauges (EGT and Fuel pres.) to home somewhere!

I saw a DIN sized plate with three cut outs to replace the stereo (soon to be binned), perfect thinks I!

pah, its for 46mm gauges, I mean who has 46mm gauges?

any ideas guys?

What size guages do you have? 52mm? If so then check out this (http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/G.htm) page. Scroll until you find the "DIN Mount Triple Gauge Plate" item. Alas it's for 3 rather than 2 gauges.

although last night I thought about fabbing a piece of sheet ally to DIN size, leave a flange top and bottom, then try to utilise the cage that holds the radio.

Would have to cover the bare metal in something soft, pliable and not as heat conductive!

Defi do little rubber based mount that allowed me to mount the Boost gauge to the steering column, One gauge either side. I pick them up for £14 each (Scoobymania charge a hell of a lot more than that!)

Can supply pics if you need them?

One other option might be to get a DIN slot cover from Halfords or similar place, it should have latches on it, so you'd not need the radio cage. Then you could create holes of the size you want. Maybe add an MDF or something backing to make it a bit thicker to hold the gauges better.
