The Llanberis pass is awsome, spectacular views of Mt Snowdon and a lurvly stone wall all the way down to bounce them warbling scooby noises around http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

If we stick round these are you will NOT be dissapointed, i gaurantee it http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Plenty of roads, more than we will have time for in 1 weekend!

Hi guys...

Are we actually stopping on a site ?

Or ruffing it in a field (friendly farmer with a shot gun springs to mind) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

Lets sort this http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

I reckon a small campsite would suffice, dont fancy the farmers 12-bore. Theres plenty up there, we can find one on the day.

We should be in deepest Wales by lunch time so there should be plenty of time to look around for landing sites...

(And in my tail happy tart of a car http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/cool.gif until http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif !!! I may find myself traversing backwards through a hedge or two....'Hey lads...er..I think I found a campsite' springs to mind..hehe)

It may be worth planning a couple of Towns in along route for SUL, may take a spare can in the boot just in case. Oh...and a few bottles of Millers - isn't it great that they make octane booster and beer...its just uncanny! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Found myself a nice big water bottle too..W/S only lasted 3/4 laps round Donnington!

This looks like a lot of fun..!

Unfortunely i've just come back from some serious piloting around Snowdon and N. Wales myself - A4086 Llanberis Pass(?), A487, A470 - AH Heaven http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif!

I'll keep an eye out for the next one as i'll be at Trax that weekend!.

I could probably get a few others to come up from the south as well!

Have fun... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif....

Been down south all week so I've not been keeping up with this http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

I've got me tent, a choice of sleeping bags, a meths stove, midge repelant and me wellies!

Ian: What's the sheep repelant for? I thought that was part of the fun http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

OK time & place needed to meet?

Can't wait - been driving a hideous Fiat Multipla Turbo Diesel 'Pope-Mobile' all week!

Kev is trying to convince me to come along!

Does anyone have a rough idea of where we will be (driving or camp, er, tenting)? How far does a scooby seat recline? Do the sheep wear lipstick?

Right then....

Saturday morning 9th Sept 9-00am at....

Macdonalds car park
A5 Cannock.

If your heading west to east on the A5, as you go through Cannock you can`t miss the Caterpiller factory on the left handside, at the next island you will see MaccyDs. We will be in the carpark at 9-00 stuffing ourselves with fodder. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Once everybody has arrived and sorted themselves out we will then carry on up the A5 into Wales.

We will travel up through Betwsy-Coed and onto Capel Curig, where we could stop for lunch.

From then on its a case of getting out the map and deciding where we want to go.
I know Wales quite well so can put us all in the right direction. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Anybody who is seriously intending to come, please put up a post as we don`t want to leave Cannock with out you.

If anybody wants to contact me, feel free to phone on 07970 443489.

Cheers

I can't make this as I have other plans, though I will be in Wales (Dolgellau) the w/e of 16/17 sept - W reg DBM 5-door with that nice little stainless bumper protector.

However, I can vouch for some great roads in mid-Wales, as well as North Wales, e.g. around the Welshpool/Dolgellau area - just steer clear of the armco, ahem.

Also FYI, the A5 between Llangollen and Snowdon has had some heavy Police chopper coverage the past 2 summers, due to them getting uptight over speeding bikers....be careful.
