Just bought my own place recently and hoping to move in early new year.

The only thing is the house doesnt have a shower fitted, and I'm hoping to get this sorted out before I move in.

I'm wanting a really powerful shower that doesnt take long for the water to heat up and that doesnt turn freezing cold / boiling hot every time the taps are turned on / toilet is flushed!

What do I need to sort this out? Will I need a combi boiler?

Also, what are the limitations of showers that are to be fixed to an external wall?

Cheers pips.

you could have either an electric shower or power. For a power shower you would need a pump to help maintain the presure, and this also may be needed with the electric shower.
Not sure how the power showers are fed, but I imagine it would be by cold water and the unit heats it up like electric showers do, so any decent shower will maintain your temperature no matter what you do with other things like turning on taps etc (although you will probably experience a presure drop if you dont have a pump.)

not sure what heating system you have the moment, but whether it's a combi or not, consider a thermostatic shower

limitations on an external wall? not sure i understand this, but if it's a space thing, then you could batten off the wall, cover with ply and recess your valve and supplies

just fitted a coram waterguard shower tray at home. they're worth looking at - upstand recesses into the wall or behind tiles and can save headaches with leaks later on!

Power showers have a seperate hot and cold feed ,like taps, then use the pump to blast it out :)...you also mains to the unit for the pump:(
