Ok, its seems like ages since we all met up, so how about a mid week meet. We could perhaps meet at the good old Ferriers Arms near to Ashby for a pint or a shandy. Leave the drives for the weekends. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
Who`s up for it then, say a Wednesday night in the near future.
Let us know a suitable date and we`ll arrange it.

I'm in if not working away. Should be OK for
Wednesdays for next few weeks http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Waysiders or j1mbo, can you ask Dave when it suits him.

As for the drives, my best one involves getting from here to Lount anyway http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

For those who couldn't make the last meet at the Ferrers here is the map:

I may be away next Wednesday. If Dave's away till the 29th is there any point in having it at the Ferrers? (Unless you count the nice roads to get there http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif)

If you had it closer to the A50 (derby) then I would probably make it. With it being a week night it would be a rush for me to get there.

How about one of the pubs close to Chris (CW). The one by the marina is a great pub cant remember the name though.

Just a thought and you may get a better turnout.

The Plank & Leggit
Sawley Bridge Marina
Sawley
Derbyshire.

Is this pub by the marina. Serves food and big car park. CW will probably be able to give you better directions though.

This one fairly close to the A50 ie easy access from M1/A50. Its about 30 miles for me but all dual carriageway and good roads.

Just an idea.

Cheers

Still don't know if I can make next week but in response to chrisp heres the info:
The Plank & Leggit is on the B6540 Long Eaton road at Sawley. It is just after you pass under the M1, approx 1 mile of straight road from the A50 Castle Donnington/Long Eaton island, which itself is close to Junction 24A of the M1 with easy links to A42/M42 see map.

Alright boys, i'm BACK!!!!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Just got back from a 4 week Business/Holiday in Denmark, Italy & Cornwall. Had a wicked time but feel now as though I need another holiday to recover. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

I hope to get there on Weds. although I am not sure yet what lies in wait at the office tomorrow morning. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif However, as i've been on a Scoob free diet the last few weeks, i'm sure I can find the time.

Chris

p.s. the Scoob feels scarily quick when you haven't driven in 4 weeks! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

p.p.s. check the PRIVATE section http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif gutted!

ChrisP - what time are you heading over?

Might stick my head in, though I'm down in Pinner Thursday morning which means an early start.

However........ What time are people turning up may come there first, (if I can swing it)? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

ChrisB,

Because everyone is meeting between 7.00 and 7.30 I will probably go straight from work about 6 (ish) and cut across country to Uttoxeter to the A50.

Why not bring you're new motor down ?

MikeT - Thats how I knew about the pub http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif and its fairly easy to get to (even I found it last time http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif).

Be careful you dont drive past it is fairly close off a roundabout if memory serves me right.

cheers

Wish that i could have been there, but it's been a long day and didn't fancy another hours drive after getting home.

Maybe the next one, if it's a tad lower down the M42!

Great night and great weather too http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif.

The night seem to fly and I got there first.

The EVO driver and his two mates were stars. Just turned up cause he saw a pack of scoobies on the car park. [is the collective term a pack ?]

I tell these type R are getting common http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif. Nice to see a few of the rare models like my UK spec http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif.

Nice to see a couple of new faces as well, hope you guys make the next one.

See you at the next one http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif.

cheers
