Hi all,

This is been re-posted to avoid confusion with the other Midlands Meet a week or so later......

Midlands Meet/Drive
Sunday 11th June
Meet at Tamworth Services at 10-00 am

Detailed route to be handed out on the morning of the event.

The route includes very `entertaining` roads finishing off at a very nice watering hole where they serve excellent meals and Ale...

Tamworth Granada Services can be found at J10 M42. There is only one service area there, it is located on the island at the M42,so come off at junction 10 and you will see it signposted. The A5 also crosses over this island.

Make that 7 Northern cars, I'll be there as we're visiting Dave's mum in Loughborough this weekend. Somehow, I don't think we'll be able to persuade her to attend as she hasn't yet got over the last Northern Meet. Sprog 1 will, however, be in attendance. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Hello all,
I called round personally to see Paul with the 22B to make sure he did know about the meet on Sunday. Lets hope his work and family comittments allow him to come down.
Then we can compare P1's , STi5/6, and the king of the hill (Clarksons rating on the video) the 22B.

Phil (aka Salsa-king),

It looks like some guys would like to meet us before we reach Tamworth. I suggest we meet at the Granada services as you suggest for 09:30. For the guys coming down the country (M1), simply exit on JCT 24 and follow signs for Birmingham A453 (as you will have to for Tamworth). You'll come to a roundabout which splits the A453 from the A42. The second exit (I think) is the Granada Services.

Phil and I should be parked somewhere quite obvious (just look out for two red Scoobs... FIL 973 and K9 VYN)! Phil either you call me or I'll call you to confirm, but I suggest you get to my house for no later than 09:10!

See ya'll,

Kev

STE16,
It wouldn't happen to be a blue EVO6 with red mudflaps by any chance?? If so I hope he's washed it!! HA HA
See you in the morning, and make sure little bruv fills his petrol tank tonight.
P.S. to reply, go to the reply post heading at the top of the page, near where the options to register are. That way it doesnt repeat the original message.
Cheers

Just a reminder for any Northerners coming down the M6 and along the A5 to Tamworth Services. You will pass at least NINE Gatsos along the A5 (and another NINE on the way back!).

Boomer,
If you get a maximum break of 54 points, do you get a prize, like they do in snooker.
Thanks for the warning.

Awesome Day folks! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Never driven my Scoob in anger for so many miles. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif 50? seemed more like 25!

Big thankyou to Paul, Kev & Boomer for sorting it all out. How anyone was able to look at the pace notes at the speeds we were travelling is beyond me. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif However, they do make a nice momento of the day guys, good work.

Highlight of the drive had to be watching Jase Cooper take flight over the notorious hump back bridge in his 1 day old Sti V Type R. Respect! Realising what was going on, and way to late to adjust I then proceeded to get airbourne ......................... which was nice! Jase & I are doing flying lessons at £15 a throw if anyones interested! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

The buzz of adrenelin is equal only to the time when ........ No, I won't even go there! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Once again guys & girls, great to see you all and let's do it again SOON.

Cheers
